Visit an Inmate?

Tips for Visitors

Dress Code

For adults: No tank tops, no mesh or see-through clothing, t-shirts cannot be sleeveless. No chest, shoulders, or stomach exposed. A skirt may not be more than 2 inches above the knee. No stretch pants or shorts may be worn. 

Only children are permitted to wear shorts.

No Contraband is Permitted

PLEASE NOTE: Visitors are subject to the restrictions of Wireless Communication Devices in SOP 204.09, Wireless Communications Devices.  Pursuant to this policy, Visitors are NOT permitted to bring any of the following Wireless Communication Devices into a GDC facility, unless approved by the Appointing Authority:  Cellular Phones, Smart Phones, Smart Glasses (both prescription and non-prescription), Commercial Frequency Two-way Radios, Pagers, Tablets, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Text Messaging Devices, or Watches/Smartwatches with internet access.  This list is not exhaustive, and any device determined by staff to be a Wireless Communication Device will not be permitted.  All Wireless Communication Devices, unless approved by the Appointing Authority, will be considered contraband. Any person attempting to bring any Wireless Communications Devices not approved by the Appointing Authority into a GDC facility will be subject to denial of the visit, removal from the offender’s visitation list, and seizure of the contraband Wireless Communication Device(s).
