Volunteer Training

Certified Volunteer Training 

Effective February 28, 2019, the Georgia Department of Correction will begin to receive volunteer applications online through our web-based site.

1. Volunteer training will be conducted approximately every five weeks.
2. Prospective volunteers who have completed online applications and background checks, upon approval, will be notified of training dates.
3. ONLY volunteers who have submitted an application and received notification of approval will be allowed to attend training events.
4. Unregistered volunteers will not be permitted to attend training events.

Group Training

If you are part of a group that desires training, please ask your group leader to contact Volunteer Services to discuss potential group training events.
