Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons

On September 20 at Hays SP, after Civilian Charlene Seechan exited the body scanner in the front entry, security staff observed a set of earbuds and 1 charging block on the floor. Additionally, after reviewing footage of previous visits, staff noted suspicious activity. Civilian Seechan was asked about those prior visits, and she confessed to bringing in contraband. The Chattooga County Sheriff's Department arrested Civilian Seechan.

On September 27 at Dooly SP, Civilian Connie Francis was unable to clear the metal detector. A search was conducted, and 2 bundles of rolling paper were located. The Dooly County Sheriff's Office arrested Civilian Francis and transported her to jail with pending charges.

On September 28 at Dooly SP, after visitation, security staff detained Civilian Ericka Sotoj after noticing one of the necklaces she wore when she entered the facility was missing. Security staff searched the Offender she was visiting and recovered the missing necklace. Civilian Sotoj was arrested by the Dooly County Sheriff's Office and transported to jail with pending charges.
