Contraband Arrest at Multiple State Prisons

On July 4, at Smith SP, staff observed a vehicle drop an individual off near the facility. The Glennville Police Department was notified, and two individuals were arrested. Three bags, 13 taped packages, and business cards were located. 

On July 4 at Johnson SP, Wrightsville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle near the facility. The vehicle was occupied by Civilians Shanterria Beasley-Slater, Jayvzea Beasley and Devon Wynn. During the search of the vehicle, a bundle of contraband and handgun was recovered. Civilians Beasley-Slater, Beasley, and Wynn were arrested and taken to the Johnson County Jail. 

On July 5 at Telfair SP, Craftsman Christopher Womack was arrested by Telfair County Sheriff's Office after he admitted to introducing contraband into the facility.
