Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons
On November 9 at Lee Arrendale SP, security staff located 5 balls wrapped in black tape on an offender after visitation. The contraband consisted of 10 grams of an unknown substance, 1 gram of a leafy substance, 6 grams of tobacco, 7 hydrocodone pills, 9 earrings, and 16 necklaces. The Habersham County Sheriff's Office arrested visitor Torey Schafer.
On November 10 at Valdosta SP, security staff located 2 bundles and a sheet stuck in the razor wire. Civilians Joshua Mason and Cedrick Peavy were found in the woodline behind the prison during a search of the area. Civilian Keshara Marshall and Eryon Patrick were found at a nearby gas station. During a search of their vehicle, the following contraband was recovered: 1 Pistol, 4,288 grams of tobacco, 249.49 grams of cigarettes, 12 cell phones, 6 charging cords, 1 charging block, 37 packs of rolling paper, and 1 pair of shoes. All civilians were arrested and transported to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office pending charges.
On November 10 at Calhoun SP, security staff located marijuana on visitor Kenyattal Dukes. Calhoun County Sheriff's Office arrested visitor Dukes.
On November 12 at Johnson SP, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office observed a suspicious person with a backpack near the facility. Johnson County SO stopped a vehicle occupied by two civilians, Trenton Mays and Tabyous Williams. The vehicle was searched, and 8 packages wrapped in duct tape were recovered. Civilians Mays and Williams were arrested and taken to Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
