Elizabeth Scott Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. –  The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Elizabeth Scott, Deputy Warden at Montgomery State Prison (SP), to Superintendent at Treutlen Probation Detention Center (PDC), effective June 1, 2025. As Superintendent, Scott will be responsible for overseeing all staff and supervising male offenders at the facility.

"Elizabeth has worked her way up through the ranks and excelled at each position she has held," said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. "We are confident she will continue to uphold the values and mission of the agency while taking on her new role as Superintendent."

Scott began her career with the department in 2006 as a Correctional Officer at Telfair SP, and in 2016, she was promoted to Sergeant at Montgomery SP. During her tenure at Montgomery SP, she was promoted to Lieutenant and Captain, and in 2024, she was promoted to Deputy Warden, where she currently serves.

Scott’s departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Sergeants Academy, Chief of Security Training, POST Instructor Training, and Supervision I, II, and III.
