Scott Keith Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. –  The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Scott Keith, Assistant Superintendent at Northwest Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center (RSAT) to Superintendent at Northwest RSAT, effective March 1, 2025. As Superintendent, Keith will be responsible for overseeing staff and supervising approximately 200 male detainees.

"Scott has worked his way up through the ranks during his 20-year tenure with the department," said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. "We look forward to his continued leadership in carrying out our mission at Northwest RSAT."

Keith began his career with the GDC in 2010 as a Correctional Officer at Walker State Prison (SP). During his tenure at Walker SP, he was promoted through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. In 2022, he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent at Northwest RSAT, where he currently serves.  

His departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Sergeants Academy, Field Training Officer Program, POST Instructor Training, Captain’s Academy, Firearms Instructor Training Program, Assistant Superintendent Training, Supervision I, II, and III, and Management I, II, and III.
