Donna Soles Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Timothy C. Ward announced the promotion of Donna Soles to Superintendent at Treutlen Probation Detention Center (PDC) effective January 1, 2021. As Superintendent, Soles will be responsible for overseeing approximately 78 staff members and 288 male offenders.

“Soles has worked her way up through the ranks demonstrating exceptional leadership in each position,” Ward said. “Her knowledge and experience will serve her well in her new role as Superintendent at Emanuel PDC.”

Soles began her career with the GDC in 1994 as a Correctional Officer at Johnson State Prison (SP). During her tenure at Johnson SP, she was promoted through the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant.  In 2019, she was promoted to Captain at Emanuel Women’s Facility, and in 2020, she was promoted to Assistant Superintendent at Treutlen PDC, where she currently serves.

Soles has completed the following departmental training: Basic Correctional Officer Training, Basic Management Training, Supervision I, II and III, First Responders Course, Professional Management Program, Sergeants Academy, Chief of Security Academy, Fire Inspector Training, Perimeter Security Training, and Mental Health Training.
