FORSYTH, Ga.– Special Agents with the Georgia Department of Corrections’ (GDC) Office of Professional Standards are conducting an investigation on the death of inmate Daquan Young (GDC #1000249816), as a suspected homicide.

Agents  have reason to believe inmate Young died as a result of injuries sustained during an altercation involving another inmate. Inmate Young was pronounced deceased at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga at 1:42 p.m. on February 6.

Young was sentenced to Life in 2011 in Chatham County, for Armed Robbery.
