Tijuana Hall Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. – Georgia Department of Corrections Commissioner Homer Bryson announced the promotion of Tijuana Hall to Deputy Warden of Administration at Central State Prison, effective March 16, 2016. As Deputy Warden, Hall will be responsible for overseeing the Business Office, Property/Supply Operations, Maintenance and Food Service departments at the facility housing over 1,100 medium security male inmates located in Macon, Ga.

“Tijuana has shown great leadership as Business Manager,” said Commissioner Homer Bryson. “I am confident her experience will serve her well in her new role.”

Hall began her career with the Department in 1999 as a part-time receptionist with the Georgia Corrections Academy. In 2002, she was promoted to Clerk II. During her tenure, she served as an Account Paraprofessional at Burruss Correctional Training Center and the Administrative Assistant with Central Human Resources Management. In 2013, she was promoted to Business Manager at Georgia Diagnostic Classification Prison, where she currently serves.

Hall is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Thomas University. During her career with the Department, she has completed the following training courses: Basic Management Training (BMT), Performance Management Program (PMP), Basic Purchasing, and Advanced Purchasing.

The GDC has one of the largest prison systems in the U.S. and is responsible for supervising nearly 52,000 state prisoners. It is the largest law enforcement agency in the state with approximately 10,500 employees.
