The current participating agencies (GDC, Georgia National Guard, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Public Safety, DeKalb County Police Department, Georgia Regents University, Georgia Correctional Health, Mental Health Management, State Board of Pardons & Paroles, and GEO Group) have many jobs available for military personnel returning from duty. This event is free and open to active duty and transitioning military personnel, National Guard personnel, and reservists who register online at GDCjobs.com.

"We are excited to be hosting our fifth Military Career Fair of the year at Moody Air Force Base," said Commissioner Brian Owens. "The Department, being a para-military organization, finds that the structure and the discipline of our veterans coincides with our mission."

The GDC has one of the largest prison systems in the U.S. and is responsible for supervising nearly 55,000 state prisoners and more than 160,000 probationers. It is the largest law enforcement agency in the state with approximately 12,000 employees.
