Execution Date Set for Dawson County Murderer

Tommy Lee Waldrip to be executed on Thursday, July 10, 2014
Forsyth - The Dawson County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Tommy Lee Waldrip. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution July 10-17. Commissioner Brian Owens has set the date for Tuesday, July 17, 2014 at the Georgia Diagnostic & Classification Prison in Jackson at 7pm.
Waldrip was sentenced to death for the April 1991 murder of 23-year-old Keith Evans in Dawson County. If executed, Waldrip will be the 32nd inmate put to death by lethal injection.
