Contraband Arrest at Montgomery State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,373 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On February 3 at Montgomery State Prison, Warden Brown received information about a possible contraband drop at the Parton Park detail site in Lyons Georgia from listening in on a phone call. Security Staff was at the site when they saw Debra and Kailee Peacock attempt to drop 2 grams of methamphetamine, 6 packs of tobacco, 10 cans of dip, 2 rolls of black electrical tape, 1 roll of grey duct tape, and 2 boxes of plastic bags. Debra and Kailee Peacock were arrested by Lyons Police Department and transported to Toombs County Jail.
