Contraband Arrest at Johnson State Prison
As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,174 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.
On January 19 at Johnson State Prison, after visitation had ended an offender was found to have 4- twenty dollar bills and 4- five dollar bills on his person. Visitor Carol Krepps admitted to giving the offender the contraband and was placed under arrest and escorted to Johnson County Jail.
