New Private Prison Monitor at Coffee Correctional Facility

FORSYTH, Ga. – Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Homer Bryson announced the promotion of Stacey Webb to Private Prison Monitor at Coffee Correctional Facility, effective October 1, 2016. As Private Prison Monitor, Webb will oversee the facility's operations, to ensure that all contract conditions are met and that the facility operates with a continuous focus on sanitation, safety and security.
“Stacey has been a vital member of the GDC team for 27 years,” said Commissioner Bryson. “I am confident in his abilities to effectively oversee the operations at Coffee Correctional Facility.”
Webb began his career with the Department in 1989 as a Correctional Officer at Valdosta State Prison. In 1992, he transferred to Autry State Prison in the same capacity. While at Autry, he served as Counselor, Senior Counselor, Chief Counselor, Deputy Warden of Care & Treatment, and Deputy Warden of Security. In 2007, Webb transferred to Lee State Prison as the Deputy Warden of Security, and later that year, he was promoted to Superintendent at the Pelham Pre-Release Center. Webb joined the Office of Professional Standards, in 2011, as an Auditor. In 2015, he was promoted to Senior Auditor, where he currently serves.
Webb earned an Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Abraham Baldwin College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Valdosta State University, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University. He has completed the following departmental training: Basic Correctional Officer.
