New Deputy Warden of Administration at Dooly State Prison

Allison Jones Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. – Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Gregory C. Dozier announced the promotion of Allison Jones to Deputy Warden of Administration at Dooly State Prison (SP), effective September 1st. As Deputy Warden of Administration, Jones will be responsible for overseeing the Business Office, Property/Supply Operations and Food Service departments at the facility which houses over 1,700 medium security male offenders.

“Jones has shown extraordinary leadership skills in every position she has held within this department,” said Commissioner Gregory C. Dozier. “We are confident that she will continue to excel in her new position as Deputy Warden at Dooly State Prison.”

Jones began her career with the GDC in 2004 as an Accountant Paraprofessional at Central State Prison. She transferred to McEver Probation Detention Center in 2007, in the same role. In 2009, She was promoted to a Behavioral Health Counselor at Dooly State Prison and to a Senior Counselor in 2016.  In 2018, Jones was promoted to Chief Counselor at Pulaski State Prison, where she currently serves.

Jones holds an associate of science degree from Macon State College, a bachelor's degree in Social Science from Mercer University, a master’s degree in Public Administration from Troy University and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Studies from Walden University. Jones has completed the following departmental training: Basic Management Training (BMT) and POST Instructor Training (POST IT).
