Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons

On March 1 at Dooly SP, security staff observed an unknown number of civilians running near the farm. Warden Agbaosi, GDC Canine, and the Dooly County Sheriff's Office were notified. Civilian Co'leon White was located and advised of the location where he hid contraband. A search of the area was conducted, and 1 bookbag was recovered with the following contraband: 4,660 grams of tobacco, 91 grams of marijuana, and 01 bottle of Promethazine. Civilian White was then arrested and transported to Dooly County Jail with charges pending.

A vehicle was pulled over on the road near the farm, which had a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, 7 cell phones were recovered, and Civilian Roberta Mitchell was arrested for an outstanding warrant.  

GDC Canine apprehended Civilian Joey Evans near the farm, and he was transported to Dooly County Jail with pending charges.

2 unknown civilians were seen running through the woods near the farm and were arrested and transported to Dooly County Jail with charges pending. The following items were located: 1 duffel bag, 2 backpacks, and 1 shopping bag, recovered from behind the Farm which contained 50 cellphones, 70 charging cords, 23 charging blocks, 21 ear buds, 1 Beats Headphones, 1 speaker, 1 scale, 1 socket wrench, Backbone Controller, 1 vacuum sealed bag of Emergency-C, 2 bottles of Promethazine, 1 pair of Nike Airforce Ones, 1,880 grams of marijuana, 5,029 grams of tobacco, 36 tobacco wraps, 2 vapes, 5 bottles of cologne, 1 bottle of super glue, 11 razors, 1 pair of Nike Sweat Shorts, and miscellaneous clothing items.


On March 8 at Hancock SP, 5 unidentified individuals were spotted near the facility. The Hancock County Sheriff's Office and GDC Canine were notified to conduct a search of the area. 2 subjects were found and arrested by the Hancock Sheriff's Office. Shortly after, Hancock County Sheriff's deputies observed a vehicle fleeing from the direction of the prison. The vehicle was stopped, and 3 civilians were arrested and transported to Hancock County Jail with charges pending. 5 duffle bags were recovered laying near the facility which contained 908 grams of marijuana, 5,484 grams of tobacco, 35 cellphones, 18 vapes, 39 lighters, 2 speakers, 4 bottles of supplements, 2 toothbrushes, 2 tubes of toothpaste, dental floss, 3 pairs of underwear, 3 pair of shorts, 1 pair of jeans, 14 pairs of socks, 1 beanie, 2 knives, 14 pairs of ear buds, 15 blocks, 2 scales, Zaxby's Chicken, Airheads Candy, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 wrench, 4 bottles of Promethazine, 18 activation books, 12 sim card keys, 12 air tags, 52 cables, and 6 personal phones.  

On March 8 at Dooly SP, visitor Serenity Bibbins was visiting with an offender when she was seen passing him a G Shock Watch. Visitor Bibbins' visit was immediately terminated, and the Dooly County Sheriff's Office was notified. Visitor Bibbins was arrested and transported to Dooly County Jail with pending charges.

On March 17 at Rogers SP, during an inspection, security staff recovered a Styrofoam tray from a closet containing 2 cellphones and 2 activation cards. After an investigation, it was determined that contract staff Mental Health Counselor Kalvin Roberts entered the facility with said contraband. The Tattnall County Sheriff's Department was notified, arrived, and arrested Mr. Roberts for crossing the guard lines with prohibited items.

On March 28 at Dooly SP, Visitor Patrice White was processing in the front entry for visitation with an offender and was unable to pass through the body scanner. Visitor White consented to a search, and a vacuum-sealed bag containing 65.7 grams of tobacco was found on her person. She was arrested by the Dooly County Sheriff's Office and transported to the Dooly County Jail, with pending charges.

On March 29 at McRae Women's Facility, while attempting to enter the facility for visitation, Civilian Maria Smith was unable to clear the body scanner. Civilian Smith consented to a search, and the following contraband was recovered from her person: 35 Newport cigarettes, 1 AT&T hotspot device, and 2 silver-colored earrings. Civilian Smith was arrested by the Telfair County Sheriff's Office and transported to the Telfair County jail with pending charges.
