Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons

On February 5 at Hancock SP, Civilian Timothy Lamar Massengale and Former Officer Angela Denise Dinkins were observed by Hancock County Sheriff's Officers near the facility. During a search of their vehicle, 5,491 grams of marijuana, 1,988 grams of tobacco, 7 cellphones, 14 charging cords, 4 charging blocks, 2 headphones, 1 gaming stick, 1 game controller, 1 JB weld, unknown pills, and rolling papers were discovered. Massengale and Dinkins were arrested and transported to Hancock County Jail with charges pending.

On February 7 at Hancock SP, 2 unknown suspects were spotted near the woodline of the facility, and 1 unknown male was observed passing contraband to an unidentified offender. Security staff recovered 1 black book bag from the razor wire and 1 black duffel bag from the ground. The packages contained 2,063 grams of tobacco, 1 wire cutter, and 3 cell phones. The suspects were identified as Bobby Farley, Daniel Chapman, and Tabitha Littleton, who were arrested and detained at Hancock County Jail with charges pending.

On February 8 at Coastal SP, Aramark Contractor Olivia Peters attempted to enter the facility. Upon entering the facility, security staff observed a bulge under her clothing. Contractor Peters emptied the contents, which contained 1 vacuum-sealed package of loose tobacco. Contractor Peters was arrested by the Chatham County Sheriff's Office and escorted to the Chatham County Jail.

On February 12 at Hays SP, Civilian Krystal White, an instructor for Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, entered the front entry, and a vape with THC inside was found inside her personal belongings. Civilian White's vehicle was also searched, and a small bag of marijuana was found. Civilian White was arrested and transported to Chattooga County jail with pending charges. 

On February 13, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison, the Butts County Sheriff's Office observed a vehicle traveling near the facility. GDC Canine Unit and the Warden were notified, and a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle driven by Civilian Akeriaen Lawson. The following contraband was recovered: 1 drone, 8649 grams of tobacco, 2 cellphones, 1 tablet, 1 dashcam, 1 DJI power station, 1 DJI drone case, 2 DJI drone batteries, 1 pack of vacuum seal bags, 1 pack of gallon size storage bags, 1 vacuum sealer machine, 1 DJI inspiring charging hub, 4 drone controllers and 1 roll of bundle wrap. Civilian Lawson was arrested by the Butts County Sheriff and transported to the Butts County jail with pending charges.

On February 19 at Emanuel Probation Detention Center, security staff observed a suspicious vehicle near the facility. Twin City Police Department was notified, and a check of the vehicle occupied by Civilians Jonathan Fussell, Kalijah Pittman, and Ahijiah Fussell was conducted. The following contraband was located: 1 bag of suspected tobacco and 3 cellphones. All civilians were arrested and transported to Emanuel County Sheriff's Office with pending charges.
