New Deputy Warden of Administration at Dooly State Prison
NeQueva Nicholson Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of NeQueva Nicholson, Captain at Dooly State Prison (SP), to Deputy Warden of Administration at Dooly SP, effective January 16, 2025. As Deputy Warden, Nicholson is responsible for the management of the facility's business office, property/supply operations, and food service departments.
"NeQueva has been a dedicated employee with a remarkable work ethic while working her way up the ranks," said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. "We are proud to have her as a part of our team and are confident that her correctional knowledge will continue to prove valuable to the mission and staff at Dooly SP."
Nicholson began her career with the department in 2015 as a Correctional Officer at Macon SP, where she was promoted through the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant. In 2023, she was promoted to Captain at Dooly SP, where she served until her most recent promotion.
Nicholson earned her technical diploma and certification in accounting from Central Georgia Technical College. Her departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Effective Communication Training, Sergeant Academy, Supervision I, II, and III, Management I, II, and III, Lieutenant Academy, and Chief of Security Training.
