Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Facilities

On December 21 at Hancock SP, security staff noticed suspicious activity near the facilitywood line. After a search, the following contraband was located: 32 cellphones, 1 iPad, 4336 grams of marijuana, 8 rolls of poker chips, 4 grinders, 104 cigars, 32 rolling papers, 28 charging blocks, 57 charging cords, 2 bags of protein powder, 3 lighters, 4 phone cases, 6 grams of hydrocodone, 21 grams of meloxicam, 367 grams of unidentified pills, 30 packs of Newport's, 5 bottles of liquor, 2 bottles of promethazine, 8 pair of socks, 1 pair of shorts and 2 vapes. Hancock County Sheriff's Office searched the area and arrested Marcus Barossa with 2 cell phones on his person.

On December 24 at Valdosta SP, a suspicious person was seen near the facility. GDC Canine and Lowndes County Sheriff's Office were called for assistance. The suspect was apprehended and identified as Nickaeligh Gray. Civilian Gray was in possession of the following contraband: 12 cellphones, 16 charging blocks, 11 charging cables, 28 rolling papers, 2 earbuds, 1 scale, 2 packs of triple a batteries, 2609 grams of tobacco, 441 grams of marijuana, and 2 vapes. Lowndes County arrested civilian Gray.

On December 24 at Wilcox SP, the GDC Canine unit notified that there was a suspicious person in the wood line near the facility. A search was conducted, and 1 bag was confiscated, which contained 2211 grams of marijuana, 44 grams of heroin with 7 syringes, 1 pack of cigarettes, 2 THC vapes, 2 scales, 3 pairs of shoes, 4 shirts, 1 jogging suit, a pair of jeans, 3 packs of blackwood, 3 packs of Black in Mild, 2 packs of Baby Pluto marijuana, 7 lighters, 1 grinder, 7 cellphones and 2 packs of Narcan. Abbeville PD apprehended and arrested 4 civilians: Kashira Milhouse, Quan Kimbrough, Jermain Williams, and Walter Pless.  

On December 28 at Washington SP, the GDC K9 Unit and Washington County Sheriff's apprehended Jerry Norman as he was attempting to deliver contraband to the facility.

On December 31 at Lee Arrendale SP, The Baldwin County Police Department notified the facility of a traffic stop conducted in Habersham County. During a search of Probationer Zachary Tamisiea's vehicle, the following contraband was found: 1 drone and 6 cellphones. The Baldwin County Police Department arrested Probationer Tamisiea.
