Contraband Arrest at Smith State Prison

On August 17 at Smith State Prison, security staff observed a drone flying over the facility. Glennville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the facility, that was occupied by Civilians Lakitha Burdon, Lavon Morris, Cameron Keener and Ricari Reid. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following contraband was found: 1 drone and controller, 4 cellphones and an unknown amount of tobacco. All civilians were arrested and  transported to Tattnall County Jail.
