Carlton Michael Gary to be executed March 15, 2018

FORSYTH, Ga– The Muscogee County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Carlton Michael Gary. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between March 15 - March 22, 2018. Commissioner Gregory C. Dozier has set the date for Thursday, March 15th, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.

Gary was convicted for the 1977 rape and murder of Florence Scheible, Martha Thurmond and Kathleen Woodruff. If executed, Gary will be the 48th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
