Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons

On March 19 at Hancock SP, At 0048 hours, The Hancock County Sheriff's Office noticed a suspicious vehicle near the facility and conducted a vehicle search. The vehicle was occupied by Civilians Kayla Crews and Derrick Lumpkin. During the vehicle search 1 black bookbag was recovered which contained 1 saw blade, 2 personal cellphones, 7 new cellphones, 2 activation cards, 1 phone case, 1 wire cutter, 1 hammer, 1 wrench, 1 pair of pliers, 1 flat head screw, 1 box of concrete screws, 1 tube of Gorilla clear grip, 2 lighters, 5 charging cords, 8 charging blocks, 5 earbuds, 40 packs of rolling paper, 14 packs of hemp wraps, 55 grams of tobacco, 9 packs of cigarettes, and 40 cigarette singles. Civilians Crews and Lumpkin were arrested and taken to the Hancock County Detention Center with pending charges.

On March 22 at Pulaski SP, the GDC Canine Unit and Pulaski County Sheriff's Office were notified of unidentified suspects near the facility. During a search of the area, three civilians were apprehended: Jessica Carter, Aneesha Craig, and Joseph Clark. During a search of the area, a bag containing 2 packages was located, which contained contraband consisting of 1 charging cable, 3 charging blocks, 2 LED light strips, 2 earbuds, and a bottle of  Seasoning. The three civilians were arrested and transported to Pulaski County jail with pending charges.

On March 23 at Wilcox SP, Visitor Keitha Shorter was processing in for visitation when the portal sergeant found suspicious-looking items in her jacket pocket, which were suspected to be THC gummies. Visitor Shorter was arrested by Abbeville Police Department and transported to Wilcox County Jail with charges pending.

On March 23 at Dooly SP, Civilian Traicee McCoy was processing in for visitation when she was unable to clear the metal detector. After being questioned, she consented to a search, and the following was found in her possession: 2 packs of rolling papers, several unknown pills, and 1 bottle of an unknown oil. Visitor McCoy was arrested by Dooly County Sheriff's Office and transported to Dooly County Jail with charges pending.

On March 23 at Dooly SP, Visitor Deborah Price Was processing in for visitation when she was unable to clear the metal detector. After being questioned, she consented to a search, and the following contraband was found on her person: 16 grams of tobacco, 2 bags of candy, 2 earbuds, 1 bundle of yeast, and 2 tubes of JB Weld. Visitor Price was arrested by Dooly County Sheriff's Office and transported to Dooly County Jail with charges pending.
