Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons

On August 4 at Hays SP, security staff observed Civilians Megan Johnson and Sergio Benitez carrying 3 bags of contraband near the facility.  The Chattooga County Sheriff's Office (SO) was notified and reported to the facility. Civilians Johnson and Benitez were arrested by the Chattooga County SO and transported to the Chattooga County jail. 

On August 10 at Pulaski SP, the GDC Office of Professional Standards Unit and Pulaski County Sheriff's Office detained civilian Richard Hillard III near the facility. A search of his vehicle was conducted, and the following contraband was located: 40 packs of cigarettes, 25 cigars, 16 cigarette lighters, 12 packs of eyelashes, 5 eyebrow trimmers, 2 packs of glue, 10 marijuana vapes, 22 lip glosses, 14 panties, 10 sheets of strips, 14 Blunt wrappers, 927 grams of marijuana and 1 drone with 4 batteries. 

On August 13 at Calhoun SP, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop near the facility. The vehicle was occupied by civilians Jaquanda Pass and Barorise Watson Jr. During the vehicle search the following contraband was located: 8.7 pounds of marijuana, 9.4 grams of meth, 5 vape pens, 6 cellphones, 6 charging cords, 1 charging block, 1 bag of strips, and 1 bag of white pills. Civilians Pass and Watson were arrested and taken to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.

On August 13 at Johnson SP, Johnson County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop and arrested civilians Kevin Pressley, Delavonta Rashun, and Crystie Nelloms near the facility. Civilians Pressley, Rashun, and Nelloms had the following contraband in their possession: 2,834.96 grams of tobacco, 1,006.4 grams of marijuana, 10 boxes of 100 cigarettes, 8 cellphones, 5 charging cables, 1 charging block, 3 Straight Talk start-up kits, 1 drone, 1 drone controller, 6 drone batteries, and 6 drone propellers. 

On August 13 at Wilcox SP, security staff discovered Officer Alexis Davilma bringing in a white envelope in a clear backpack. The envelope contained contraband, including three cellphones, three earbuds, four charging cords, and two Apple gift cards. The Alamo Police Department arrested Officer Davilma.
