Contraband arrest ar Calhoun State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,956 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On November 15 Calhoun State Prison notified Randolph and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office (SO) of a potential drone drop. Randolph County SO conducted a traffic stop near the facility, which led to the confiscation of the drone and two individuals being arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Jail.
