Contraband Arrests at Wilcox State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,633 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On January 22 at Wilcox State Prison, two individuals were spotted near the facility’s wood line. A search of their persons found tobacco, marijuana, MDMA, lighters, cell phones, chargers, scale, folding knife, rolling papers and underwear. Civilian Kejuante Scott and Civilian Tremell Mabins were arrested and transported to the Wilcox County Jail.
