Contraband Arrest at Wilcox State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,499 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On July 3 at Wilcox State Prison, an individual was spotted near the facility’s wood line. A further search found two people throwing contraband over the fence to an offender. One individual was located, arrested, and transported to the Wilcox County Jail.
