Contraband Arrest at Whitworth Women's Facility

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,410 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On June 3 at Whitworth Women’s Facility, Lieutenant Shonda Risner was in possession of items that were not approved by the Warden. She was arrested by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
