Contraband Arrest at Coffee Correctional Facility

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,027 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On January 28 at Coffee Correctional Facility, during a routine search security staff discovered a methamphetamine pipe on visitor Donna Winters person. Visitor Winters was arrested by Nicholls Police Department.
