Contraband Arrest at Decatur County Correctional Institute

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 847 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On August 28, at Decatur County Correctional Institute, visitor Sabrina Darlene Moss was arrested by Decatur County Police Department after she was seen dropping off one package of contraband outside the facility's 911 center. The package consisted of 12 packs of Bugler tobacco and 18 small plastic bags. Decatur County Police Department also confiscated 12 packs of Bugler tobacco, 02 rolls of clear plastic tape and 14 clear plastic bags from visitor Moss’ vehicle.
