New Assistant Superintendent at West Central Integrated Treatment Facility
Gloria Davis Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Gloria Davis, Behavioral Health Supervisor at Burruss Correctional Training Center (CTC), to Assistant Superintendent at West Central Integrated Treatment Facility, effective November 1, 2025. As Assistant Superintendent, Davis will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent with the daily operations of the facility, overseeing staff, and supervising approximately 194 female residents.
"Gloria has consistently demonstrated professionalism and a strong commitment to our mission while working her way up through the ranks as part of the GDC team," said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. "Her two decades of experience and proven leadership make her exceptionally prepared for her new role as Assistant Superintendent.”
Davis began her career with the department in 2005 as a Correctional Officer at Macon State Prison (SP), and in 2007, she transferred to Burruss CTC. In 2013, she was promoted to Behavioral Health Counselor at Burruss CTC, and in 2022, she was promoted to American Correctional Association Compliance Specialist. In 2023, she was promoted to Behavioral Health Supervisor at Burruss CTC, where she currently serves.
Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fort Valley State University. Her departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Supervision I, II, and III, Chief Counselor Training, Management I, II, and III, and various Counseling Trainings.
