New Deputy Warden of Administration at McRae Women's Facility
Heather Dykes Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Heather Dykes, Accounting Technician III at Dooly State Prison to Deputy Warden of Administration at McRae Women’s Facility (WF), effective August 16, 2025. As Deputy Warden of Administration, Dykes will be responsible for overseeing the business office, property/supply operations and food service departments at the special mission facility, which houses approximately 1,200 female offenders.
“Heather has demonstrated exceptional dedication and integrity, along with her commitment to the GDC mission,” said Commissioner Oliver. “We look forward to seeing her excel in this new chapter of her career with the team at McRae.”
Dykes began her career with the State in 2023 at Dooly SP in the position of Administration Support II. She was promoted that same year to Accounting Technician II, followed by a promotion in 2024 to Accounting Technician III at Dooly SP, where she currently serves.
Dykes is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has completed Supervision I training with the GDC. She holds a certificate as a Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate.
