New Deputy Warden of Administration at Burruss Correctional Training Center
Delores Henderson Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Delores Henderson, Accounting Technician III at Burruss Correctional Training Center (BCTC), to Deputy Warden of Administration at BCTC, effective August 16, 2025. As Deputy Warden of Administration, Henderson will be responsible for overseeing the business office, property/supply operations and food service departments at the facility, which houses approximately 800 medium-security male offenders.
“Delores has been an asset to the GDC team while working her way up through the ranks and immersing herself into the business operations at the facility,” said Commissioner Oliver. “We look forward to seeing her excel in her new position at Burruss CTC.” Henderson began her career with the State in 2011 at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center as a Customer Service Representative. She joined the GDC in 2018 and was promoted to Financial Operations Generalist at BCTC, where she currently serves as Accounting Technician III.
Henderson has completed the following departmental training: Executive Basic Correctional Officer Training, Supervision I, II and II, Management I, II and III, and Deputy Wardens Academy. Additionally, she has completed the Professional Management Program through Columbus State University, Georgia Certified Purchasing Associates, Frontline Leadership Program, Command and General Staff for IMT’s, Governmental Accounting I and II, and Food Service I, II and III (ServeSafe).
