Tiffany Sailem Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. –  The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Tiffany Sailem, Unit Manager at Johnson State Prison (SP), to Deputy Warden of Security at Johnson SP, effective April 1, 2025. As Deputy Warden of Security, Sailem is responsible for overseeing staff members and 1,573 male offenders.

“Tiffany has proven herself to be a strong and reliable leader at every stage of her career,” said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. “We are certain she will excel and continue to uphold the GDC mission as she advances to the next phase of her professional journey.”

Sailem began her career with the GDC at Johnson SP in 2006 as a Correctional Officer. She has remained at Johnson SP where she promoted through the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant, served as Recruitment Lieutenant, and was ultimately promoted to Medical Unit Manager, where she currently serves.

Sailem holds a diploma in Criminal Justice Technology. Her departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Basic Management Training, Sergeant’s Academy, Lieutenant’s Academy, Supervision I, II, and III, and the Professional Management Program through Columbus State University.
