Ylitha Woodard Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. – Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Ylitha Woodard, Business Manager at Metro Reentry Facility, to Deputy Warden of Administration at Rutledge State Prison (SP), effective November 16, 2024. As Deputy Warden, Woodard is responsible for the management of the facility's business office, property/supply operations, and food service departments. 

"Ylitha has demonstrated a strong work ethic and exceptional leadership skills during her tenure with the agency," said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. "We look forward to seeing her continue to excel as she applies her wealth of knowledge to the efficient operations of the business office at Rutledge SP."

Woodard began her career with the department in 2012 as a Receptionist at GDC Headquarters, and in 2013, she was promoted to Financial Operations Generalist at Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison. In 2016, she was promoted to Financial Operations Generalist II, and in 2017, she was promoted to Financial Operations Generalist III. In 2017, she was promoted to Business Manager at Metro Reentry Facility, where she served until her promotion.  

Her departmental training consists of Supervision I, II, and III, Management I, II, and III, Primary Governmental Accounting, Intermediate Governmental Accounting, Basic Purchasing, Advanced Purchasing, and Fundamentals of State Purchasing.
