New Deputy Warden of Administration at Lee Arrendale State Prison

Keon Brown Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Timothy C. Ward announced the promotion of Keon Brown to Deputy Warden of Administration at Lee Arrendale State Prison (SP) effective October 1, 2021. As deputy warden of administration, Brown will be responsible for overseeing the business office, property/supply operations and food service departments at the facility which houses approximately 1,200 special mission female offenders.
“Brown has been an asset to the department since beginning his career in 2017,” said Commissioner Timothy C. Ward. “I know he will continue to excel as he takes on this new leadership role.”
Brown began his career with the GDC in 2017 as a Recreation Officer at Phillips SP. In 2019, he was promoted to a Financial Operations Specialist, followed by a promotion to the Regional Processing Center at the North Region Officer, where he currently serves.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Sports Management from Virginia State University, and a certification in Criminal Justice from Hermitage Vocational Technical School. He has completed the following departmental training: Basic Correctional Officer Training, Basic Management Training, Sergeants Academy, Supervision I, II and III, Management I, II and III, Chief of Security training, and the Professional Management Program through Columbus State University.
