Special Agent Wayne Snyder recognized
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) honored Special Agent (SA) Wayne Snyder as Investigator of the Year at the 14th Annual GDC Awards ceremony on June 19 at GDC headquarters in Forsyth, Ga.
Several key officials were on hand for the ceremony, which was attended by more than 200 guests. Making the award presentation with Commissioner Greg Dozier was Chief of Staff Timothy C. Ward, Assistant Commissioners Ricky Myrick, Scott Poitevint, Jay Sanders, Randy Sauls, and Assistant Director of Professional Development Tim Williams and Director of Professional Standards Clay Nix.
“Special Agent Snyder is more than deserving of this award,” said Director of Professional Standards Clay Nix. “He exemplifies the professionalism that the Criminal Investigations Division of the Office of Professional Standards is committed to maintaining.”
Snyder has established a well-known presence throughout the GDC during his three-year tenure as an unofficial supervisor and mentor to many of the young investigators and agents.
The award recognizes a GDC agent or investigator involved with significant cases, received special achievements, displayed leadership, acts of valor or heroism and outstanding service in the community.
