Graduation held at Walker State Prison

FORSYTH, Ga. – On May 19, 11 detainees graduated from the Northwest Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program at Walker State Prison. All 11 graduates were released back into society following the ceremony.

“Walker State Prison is making great strides with their RSAT program,” said Commissioner Bryson. “I am happy to see these 11 men ready to return to their communities.”

The facility provides the nine-month comprehensive substance abuse treatment program in partnership with Spectrum Services. The detainees participate in AA groups and complete courses covering Anger Management, Re-entry, and Financial Management. Upon completion, they receive their RSAT certificate and are able to return home.
