Execution Date Set for Baldwin County Murderer

Joshua Daniel Bishop to be executed on March 31
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Baldwin County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Joshua Daniel Bishop. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between March 31 and April 7, 2016. Commissioner Homer Bryson has set the date for Thursday, March 31, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.
Joshua Daniel Bishop was convicted in 1996 for the murder of Leverett Lewis Morrison. If executed, Bishop will be the 40th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
