"Dewanda is an excellent example of why we honor our employees," said Commissioner Brian Owens. "Her 27 years of selfless devotion to the Department make her a deserving recipient of this award."
The Employee of the Year award recipient promotes positive relations with co-workers, offenders, the judiciary, volunteers, partners and the community by continuously displaying courtesy, dignity and respect.
Over the past 17 years, Brisco has maintained a positive attitude which has been an invaluable asset to the staff at Baldwin State Prison.
