Contraband Arrest at Baldwin State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,607 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On December 11 at Baldwin State Prison, security staff discovered a bundle of contraband inside the facility fence. An unidentified civilian was observed walking near the prison.  The civilian was apprehended and a gun was found on his person.  He was arrested by Milledgeville Police Department.
