MISSION:
Provide housing for state and county offenders and a general labor force supporting Effingham County Government.
HOUSING:
Four dormitories that house 64 offenders each and six isolation/Segregation cells.
WORK DETAILS:
10-12 details consisting of 10-12 offenders each who help with the Effingham County workforce by cutting right-of-ways, cleaning out drainage ditches/culverts, perform litter control, maintain county parks, and etc.

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-75S to I-16E to Exit 137, Springfield then turn left on Hwy 119. Go approximately three blocks to the stop sign and make a right onto Hwy 119. Go approximately 1.5 miles to the stop sign and make a left onto Hwy 80 and an immediate right onto Hwy 119. Go approximately six miles to the stop sign and make a left onto Hwy 119. Go approximately four miles and make a right onto Hwy 119. Continue for approximately 11.5 to Springfield. At the first traffic light in Springfield go straight and make the first right into the prison.
