New Deputy Warden of Administration at Georgia Diagnostic Classification Prison

Tandra Rogers Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Timothy C. Ward announced the promotion of Tandra Rogers to Deputy Warden of Care and Treatment at Georgia Diagnostic Classification Prison (GDCP) effective November 1, 2022. As Deputy Warden, Rogers will be responsible for overseeing the business office, property/supply operations and food service departments at the facility.
“Rogers has shown exceptional leadership skills in each position she’s held within the agency,” said Commissioner Timothy C. Ward. “Her training and experience will serve her well in her new role as Deputy Warden.”
Rogers joined the Department of Corrections in 2009 as a Correctional Officer at Augusta State Medical Prison (ASMP). During her tenure at ASMP she was promoted to Sergeant in 2011, and Account Paraprofessional in 2013. In 2015, she transferred to Augusta Youth Detention Center as a Supply Warehouse Clerk and returned to ASMP in 2017 as a Purchasing Assistant II. Rogers was promoted through the ranks of Financial Operations (Ops) Generalist I and II during her tenure at ASMP. In 2021, she was promoted to Financial Ops Generalist in the North Region Office and in 2022 she was promoted to Business Support Analyst, where she currently serves.
Rogers has obtained an associate degree in Business Administration from Virginia College. Her departmental training consists ofSupervision I, II, and III, Sergeants Academy, Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate, Introductory Governmental Accounting I and II, Basic and Advanced Purchasing, and Basic Correctional Officer Training.
