New Assistant Superintendent at Emanuel Probation Detention Center
Stephanie Mainer Promoted
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Stephanie Mainer, Administrative Assistant to the Southeast Regional Director, to Assistant Superintendent at Emanuel Probation Detention Center (PDC), effective April 1, 2026. As Assistant Superintendent, Mainer will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent with the daily operations of the facility, overseeing staff, and supervising male detainees.
"Stephanie has been a dedicated team member during her twenty-five-year tenure with the agency," said Commissioner Oliver. "We are confident she will continue to uphold the GDC mission while taking on her new role.”
Mainer began her career with the GDC in 2001 as a Correctional Officer at Rogers State Prison (SP). In 2005, she was promoted to Sergeant and in 2007, she was promoted to Lieutenant. During her tenure she has also served as Administrative Support II, Administrative Support III, and Administrative Assistant to the Regional Director, where she currently serves.
Mainer’s departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training, Field Training Officer, and Basic Management Training.
