Shelley Hermann Promoted

FORSYTH, Ga. – Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) Commissioner Tyrone Oliver announced the promotion of Shelley Hermann, American Correctional Association Facility Compliance Specialist at Dodge State Prison (SP), to Deputy Warden of Administration at Pulaski SP, effective April 16, 2025. As Deputy Warden, Hermann is responsible for the management of the facility's business office, property/supply operations, and food service departments. 

"Shelley has been a dedicated leader with a remarkable work ethic during her tenure with the agency," said Commissioner Tyrone Oliver. "We are proud to have her as a part of our team and are confident that her correctional knowledge will continue to prove valuable to the mission and staff at Pulaski SP."

Hermann began her career with the department in 2010 as a Correctional Officer at Pulaski SP. In 2011, she transferred to Dodge SP, where she was promoted to Maintenance Secretary, and in 2015, she was promoted to Financial Operations Generalist I. In 2018, she was transferred to Georgia Correctional Industries (GCI), and in 2020, she was promoted to Financial Operations Generalist II. In 2021, she was promoted to GCI Plant Manager at Dodge SP, and in 2022, she was promoted to the American Correctional Association Facility Compliance Specialist, where she served until her most recent promotion.  

Hermann earned her Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix. Her departmental training consists of Basic Correctional Officer Training and Georgia Certified Procurement Agent Training.
