Execution Date Set for Houston County Murderer

Travis Clinton Hittson to be executed on February 17
FORSYTH, Ga. – The Houston County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Travis Clinton Hittson. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between February 17-24, 2016. Commissioner Homer Bryson has set the date for Wednesday, February 17, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.
Travis Clinton Hittson was convicted in 1993 for the murder of Navy Seaman Conway Utterbeck. If executed, Hittson will be the 39th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
