Kelly Renee Gissendaner to be Executed on February 25

The Gwinnett County Superior Court has ordered the execution of convicted murderer Kelly Renee Gissendaner. The court ordered the Georgia Department of Corrections to carry out the execution on a date between February 25 - March 4, 2015. Commissioner Homer Bryson has set the date for Wednesday, February 25, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson at 7 p.m.

Gissendaner was convicted in 1998 for the murder of her husband Doug Gissendaner. If executed, Gissendaner will be the 35th inmate put to death by lethal injection.
