Mission:
Provide a sanctioning option for probationers who require more security or supervision than that provided by regular community supervision. Centers are highly structured with regimented schedules that include, unpaid work in surrounding communities and programming geared toward making offenders more successful in the community, on 47.64 acres in Treutlen county. Treutlen PDC received its first detainees on April 1, 1991.
Six open dormitories with double and triple bunk beds. 48 per dorm, 7 bed lock down unit.
Work Details:
Outside work details travel to city of Dublin, Vidalia, Milledgeville, Adrian, and Soperton.
Inside work details are sanitation, dorm orderlies, maintenance, laundry, grounds, and kitchen.
Programs:
academic - general education diploma, adult basic education
counseling- re-entry, motivation for change, alcoholics anonymous/narcotics anonymous, new direction for parolees, family violence.
Directions:
Take I-75 south from North frontage road, follow I-75 South and I-16 East to ga 29 south in Treutlen County. take exit 67 from I-16 East. continue on ga 29 South. drive to cascade circle in Soperton, Georgia. Treutlen PDC is brick building on right side.
