MISSION:
This facility was originally constructed in 2004 as a Detention Center. In 2006, it was opened as a Pre-Release Center housing medium/minimum offenders with less than five years remaining on Tentative Parole Month or Maximum Release Date. The Center was remission July 2012 as a six-month Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Facility targeting high risk; high need offenders with a history of substance abuse.
The GA Department of Corrections, in partnership with Spectrum Health Systems provides a highly structured, therapeutic substance abuse treatment program for state probationers with chronic substance abuse/dependence issues and chronic recidivistic tendencies in order to return to society a program graduate who is a law abiding, self-supporting, pro-social citizen, and thereby reducing recidivism thusly providing a safer and more secure environment for the citizens of Georgia. Wilcox State Prison is the host facility.
HOUSING:
Four open dormitories with double and triple bunks housing 57 inmates in each dorm. There are four Isolation / Segregation cells.

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-75S to Sycamore/Ocilla Exit #78. Go up the ramp and turn right heading west until you come to the stop sign at US-41. Turn right and then make an immediate left to cross over the railroad tracks. Turn to the left at the next road after crossing the railroad tracks.
