MISSION:
Ensure public safety and effectively house offenders while operating a safe and secure facility. House medium security, general population offenders and support an extensive farming operation which provides vegetables, meats and milk for the correctional facilities. Supports Georgia State Prison by providing meals for their prison population. Provides counseling programs and educational opportunities to offenders. Sex-Offender release site.
HOUSING:
Consists of six buildings each containing four dormitories: 23 double occupancy cells are used for administrative segregation and 24 cells are used for disciplinary isolation. In addition, a cell is used for mental health observation. This facility also houses a C.E.R.T. Team.

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-75S to Macon, then I-16E to Exit #90, US-1 South, Swainsboro/Lyons. Follow US-1 south to Lyons, Georgia. Go through downtown to third traffic light and turn left on Georgia Hwy 178. Go approximately 19 miles and Rogers State Prison is on the right.
